Today was going to be a more work from cafe day. We found a nice little cafe called Buddha Expresso and spent the morning there before doing an apartment viewing.
Buddha Expresso has free unlimited wifi which is a bit of a bonus because a lot of cafe’s that provide wifi only provide it for a limited time of say 45 mins. One thing we have noticed in Perth cafe’s compared to Philippine and Japanese ones is that the long black is the closest thing that comes to a cup of coffee and it comes in just one small size. The coffee is nice but I am missing the large drip coffee’s you get in other countries. But buddha expresso is a nice place and I will return there.
We then viewed an apartment, which ended it being a waste of time. It is clear that some rental agencies use photoshop because the pictures were nothing like the apartment. It was dirty, with mould on all the blinds and the sofa was scratched to pieces.
We retreated to another cafe called Coffee Club. Interestingly enough they don’t have wifi but you would be able to access Perth’s city wifi from their location. After sitting down I spotted another apartment viewing in Victoria Park near where we were staying. The viewing was in 30 mins so we quickly made our way there, but after inspection we decided it was a little too small.
We spent the afternoon in Victoria Park at a Dome Cafe branch, they are everywhere in Perth.
That evening we went to the Twilight Hawker Market which are food stalls from all around the world. The place was heaving with loads of great looking food. We selected two types of Indian curries with rice for 10 bucks. The curry was very nice and good value. It was nice eating outside with everyone in pleasant weather.
This area of Perth definitely comes alive on Friday nights. Starting to like what I am seeing in Perth.
