Grant Henshaw in Perth 2014 2

My father travelled to Perth by himself in February 2014. We had spent the last year trying to arrange a date for him to come over and finally agreed a date with just a few days notice.

We arrived to the airport about 15 mins early, unfortunately that was a little late for my father’s flight arrived 30 mins early and he was quick to get through customs and immigration and was waiting at the arrivals gate for 15 mins.

It had been a long time since I had last seen my dad and I did not recognise him in the wheelchair with his glasses.

My father also has a problem walking and can only walk about 300 to 400 meters per day. This was going to be a challenge for we had no car and would be using Perth’s buses to get around.

On day 2 of my Dad’s Perth trip we decided to go to Fremantle. Using Perth’s bus system it was quite easy and we made sure we stayed close to the bus stops.
